DGT Limited - previously IGM Co Ltd, was formed in 1992 by Ivan Grech Mintoff. The Company started developing the then called Tele ’96, a software package that incorporated the Maltese telephone directory. At the same time DGT Limited was appointed sole agent of Topspeed Corporation’s programming language, namely Clarion, in Malta as well as the Middle East region and North Africa. At the time Clarion was the most rapid application development tool. It still is, the company has progressed towards an expansion in its services. During the past years, the company has provided IT solutions to prominent companies in Malta.
One of the most succesful range of products has been the 'tele' range. Tele'96 was followed by Tele'97, Tele'98. Presently, Tele2K is being marketed as the latest successor and incorporates advanced features like word processing, e-mailing and powerful efficient searches for data retrieval.

Today, DGT has proved itself to be one of the most prolific IT companies in Malta, having a client base of more than 130 companies, both locally and abroad. This has been achieved by distributing as well as developing with the fastest growing development tool, the Clarion RAD tools. Although the company is still young, it has already exploited deeply the business market and has used state of the art technology to produce not only client/server solutions but also Internet enabled applications.
